The bakery is helmed by Chef Martha Gilreath, whose Louisiana roots run deep, and her Texas accent is thick. Her pastries are flavorful and unforgettable. Martha's journey through homelessness and addiction has been transformed into a passion project that has not only left a lasting impression on taste buds but also on hearts.
Nolita Bakery started as a pop-up in New Orleans in 2021, and it has been satisfying happy bellies ever since. This year, Martha's dreams of having a brick-and-mortar establishment have come true thanks to her determination and unwavering support system. You can expect not only the best King Cake in Louisiana but also a seasonal pastry menu with flavors that only a talented and innovative chef can create, as well as a bright and welcoming environment.
